The final bold accord of WEASA 2021 was devoted to the investigative journalism and it was presented by one of the bravest investigative journalists in the region Anna Babinets who is the editor-in-Chief of co-founder and editor-in-chief of the independent investigative agency Slidstvo.Info, and also works at OCCRP (Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project). She shined in her career back then during the Maidan and did a truly great job by “revealing things, which others want to hide” even threatening her own life in many cases!

She was here to share her experience, present the general rules, secrets, and examples of how to be an investigative journalist, a real professional.  One of the practical advices that Anna gave is that investigative journalism is a special operation every time. And every time you you should be creative and try to find ways to complete your mission.

We spent an excellent time in WEASA town by discussing the future of Eastern Partnership countries and how the societies in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine think about Euro-Atlantic integration, what are the internal and external challenges and how to fight them!

Day 8 was finalised with the tons of words of gratitude from our participants and we thanked them back for their tremendous inputs to make WEASA 2021 as amazing as it is! We also thank our partners for their enormous support and encouragement!  What is particularly important in the end is that the participants showed their motivation to stay in touch and happily become a part of our bug WEASA family!

Keep in touch and see you soon!
