For those who know Edgar Amirkhanyan, WEASA alumni from 2021, know that he is passionate about his job: he is a media professional, working at Eurasia International University in Yerevan, Armenia, responsible for communications. He constantly seeks to create new opportunities for students. This was his aim when he applied for the WEASA Peer-to-Peer Meetings to visit universities in Albania and North Macedonia and make collaboration with them for the improvement of the education quality in his university.

In the frames of the Peer-to-Peer Meetings, Edgar was first hosted by his peer WEASA alumnus of 2021 Gentjan Skara, Professor of EU Law at Beder University in Tirana, Albania. Edgar also met with the Rector, Vice-Rector and other academic staff members. They discussed future collaboration between the two universities and plans to conduct online meetings and joint sessions. The fruitful discussion was cemented by a Memorandum of Understanding between the parties. Soon the faculties of Law of both universities will start online classes and conferences!

In addition, Edgar carried out a session about “How to create media content for business” for the students of the communication faculty at Beder University.

The academic stop for Edgar was at Bitola University in North Macedonia, where he was hosted by WEASA alumnae of 2022 Angelina Stanojoska, Professor of Law. Angelina organised a meeting with the Vice Rector of Bitola University, which was finalised by another Memorandum of Understanding between the universities and by one contract for Erasmus+ exchange! This is a huge accomplishment.

It is indeed heartwarming to see how a small contribution can lead to such an incredible cooperation. We want to thank Edgar for his endeavours to make a better environment for Armenian students and Gentjan and Angelina for their efforts to arrange all the meetings. We look forward to seeing your collaboration working effectively.
